Green Scream, 2020
Gallery Har-El, Tel Aviv, Israel
This exhibition was a response to “A Hymn to Green” - A poem written in 2012 by poetry Nathan Zach. In his poem, Zach both celebrated and lamented nature and human nature. Harvesting the metaphors of legacy, Zach reflected on the experience of ripening or maturing and reminisced about his youth. In the installation at Har-El, viewers encountered a sequence of manipulated found objects.
The timing of the installation work during and immediately after the first Covid-19 lockdown affected the viewers’ experience of the show. Questions regarding mankind’s equilibrium with nature were and are at stake.
