Sigalit Landau

Titled Salt Years, the exhibition gathered installations featuring salt sculptures, a series of photographs made in collaboration with Yotam From, and 13 video works. The exhibition inaugurated in conjunction with the publication of the Salt Years book.

A selection of videos, which relate both to the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean shore, were shown on two gallery floors at the Rupertinum. In these works, questions of female identity and bodily experience were addressed, as well as the political situation in Israel and the man-made disaster, and the consequential threat to the Dead Sea itself.
