Sigalit Landau

The title of the show Zbib El Ard, is a variation on the Arabic name for a plant (Cynomorium Coccineum. This plant can be found in only a few locations around Israel, as it is one of the rarest Mediterranean plants, spending most of its life underground as a parasite of other plants and has no chlorophyll but vivid scarlet color.

It is a phallic form that sprouts “out of nowhere.”
